Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis
SPPS builds a peptide chain one amino acid at a time on an insoluble resin support. Each cycle couples a protected amino acid, then deprotects to expose the next coupling site.
Cleavage and Purification
After synthesis, the peptide is cleaved from the resin and purified — typically by reverse-phase HPLC — to remove truncated sequences and side products.
Lyophilization
The purified peptide is lyophilized (freeze-dried) into a stable powder form suitable for storage and research use.
